Support the production of new drone technologies by and for Ukraine’s defenders
Drones have become a key instrument for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to push russian occupiers out of southern Ukraine. In contrast to other more traditional weapons, drones allow our defenders to perform their tasks, from scouting the positions of enemy forces and equipment to striking enemy targets, while remaining at a greater distance from enemy fire. Technology helps keep our warriors alive and able to keep fighting.
The UAF’s Special Combat Systems Group Angry Birds is supporting the counteroffensive by developing new drone technologies. This team of engineers, pilots and programmers has produced several multipurpose and kamikaze drone models that can be built quickly, locally, from inexpensive and easy-to-find components.
Compared to other modern precision weapons, which can cost millions of dollars, drones are quite inexpensive. Yet UAVs can deliver an explosive payload with much greater accuracy than old-fashioned artillery. A single drone, produced for a few thousand dollars, can destroy military equipment worth millions!
The Angry Birds have launched serial production of their FPV Kamikaze drone.
With your help, Heroes for Ukraine aims to raise $40,000 (or 1,462,800 UAH) to cover the full cost of components and labor for the production of 50 drones.
Every contribution—of any amount—matters!
FPV Kamikaze
Single-use quadcopter controlled through VR-goggles that can strike the front line of enemy forces (including armored vehicles).
- Range — up to 5 km
- Payload — up to 1 kg (RKG-3M)
- Speed — up to 120 km/h
- Cost per unit (including labor) — up to $800 USD
The sooner these precise instruments start hitting their targets, the greater Ukraine’s power to move forward in clearing its territory of russian occupying forces!
