Tactical medicine is one of the key and most relevant projects of our charity fund. At the end of the course, tourniqettes are given out to people who have listened and practically consolidated the acquired knowledge. In total, more than 300 people have already been trained in the Mykolaiv region, and 230 of them have been provided with blood-stopping tourniquets. At our own expense, our organization conducts educational trainings on pre-medical training in communities and cities of the region, in particular in the city of Mykolaiv, village Blahodarivka, village Berezanka, village Koblevo, Nova Odesa, village Nechajane, village Olshanske, the village of Radsad, the village of Vesniane, etc.
It is need to be told that the level of education of the population in pre-medical training remains extremely low. Since the beginning of warfare, people have only heard about tourniqettes, some have seen them, but do not know how to use them. According to statistics, only one out of ten civilians knows how to use a hemostatic tourniquet and one out of twenty carries a tourniquet with them in everyday life.
This situation is very disappointing, considering that the territory of our region is located practically on the line of warfare. That is why our project set itself the goal of teaching the local population an effective method of providing first aid and practically familiarizing people with the latest developments in this field (tourniquets, chestseals, nasopharyngeal tubes, etc.).
At this stage, in order to continue this extremely important mission, our foundation needs funds for the purchase of hemostatic tourniquets, which, at the right moment, can save a person’s life. One tourniqette costs about 30 dollars. Over 220 people attend our classes in 1 month. 220*30$=6600$, or 277,200 UAH.
Pre-medical training courses are provided free of charge. In order to sign up or make a request to hold such an event, you need to contact the manager of this project +38 063 705 05 30 Oleksandra Blintsova.
A tourniquet is the latest development for quickly stopping bleeding. There are 5 to 7 liters of blood in the human body, depending on height and body weight. If a person is injured in the neck, he has from 10 to 45 seconds to stop arterial bleeding. If it is an injury of the hands – from 1 to 3 minutes, an injury of the legs – from 3 to 5 minutes.
Every hryvnia (or other currency) transferred by you will be used to purchase tourniqrttes for the civilian population of the Mykolaiv region. 1 tourniqette = 1 life saved. There is no greater value than human life. Sometimes very simple but effective things can save the life and health of one, several, or even hundreds of people.
